He is a fisheries and rural development professional with 34 years of distinguished Government service in the Departments of Fisheries, Rural Development and Cooperation, Government of Andhra Pradesh. He retired as Additional Director of Fisheries in February 2025 and has extensive expertise in marine fisheries, fisheries infrastructure, coastal livelihoods, policy formulation, and disaster management and fisheries extension. He has made significant contributions to women's empowerment, SHG movement, community institutions, and microfinance and poverty alleviation through innovative livelihood models under rural development programmes. A researcher, author and master trainer, he has published several research papers and books on fisherwomen empowerment and sustainable livelihoods. He is currently associated with SERP, Government of Andhra Pradesh, as Functional Expert (Fisheries/Aqua), providing technical leadership for fisheries-based livelihood promotion, blue economy initiatives and community-based aquaculture development.
